Recently, a piece of good news comes after the completion of commissioning of the loading computer system for Dejian, an offshore wind power installation platform of CIMC Raffles in April this year. At the end of September, another offshore wind power installation platform of Raffles, OOS PROMETHEUS, the stowage system of which is provided by Seactrl, completed its first offshore wind installation last weekend.
Boqiang Heavy Industry Group Co. Ltd rented OOS PROMETHEUS ,a semi-submersible crane vessel owned by Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd., and converted it into an an offshore wind installation power platform. A moveable support platform of bottom-supported condition is added. This platform is able to support the installation and construction of wind power in shallow offshore.
The deck of the platform measures 80 meters in length , width 70 meters and depth 5 meters. It is capable of installing wind power in coastal waters with water depths ranging from 9 meters to 19.05 meters. At the bow of the upper deck is a living building, which can accommodate 100 people after renovation, with air-conditioning system and fresh air system. The ballast water can be adjusted to allow the platform to sink or float and ensure that the platform does not slip and capsize during bottom-supported works. So it also put forward higher requirements to the stowage system.
