On 18th August, “Price”, the 14,000 square meter large livestock vessel was successfully delivered by Chengxi Shipyard Repair Co., Ltd.Price is the world-first livestock vessel fulfilled the Australian Maritime Safety Agency (AMSA) 2018 Upgraded Code. And it’s also another livestock carrier powered by Cload system along with 4,500 square meter livestock carrier of COSCO in Guangdong.
The “Price” was a 1100TEU container before converted into livestock carrier which is 136 meters long, 25 meters wide and 14 meters high. It is mainly used for transporting live cattle and goats. With a fence area of more than 14,000 square meters, the Price is able to carry 42,000 goats or 12,000 cattle in one shipment. The ship is equipped with advanced animal living facilities such as automatic drinking/ feeding system, anti-bias and noise control system, ventilation system and fecal treatment system. It can provide a quite comfortable environment for livestock transport, effectively guarantee the health and stability of livestock in a long closed sea voyage, which meet the highest standards of Australia AMSA new specification requirements. It is worth mentioning that after the release of the latest requirements of Australian AMSA Code in 2018, “Price” is the first livestock carrier in the world to keep up with the new regulation.
